DENTAL PROCEDURES

IMPLANTS

The dental patients’ age is not usually a barrier to receiving dental implants as long as the jaw has fully developed. In the case of a teenager, this occurs around age 17 for boys and ages 14 to 16 for girls. In studies made on patients over age 80 that have received implants, indicate nearly identical success rates compared to rates for younger patients.

COMPLETE DENTURES

Complete Dentures
Are used when all the teeth are completely missing. This type of denture can be “conventional,” or “immediate.” Are placed in the mouth once all the teeth are gone, and the gum tissue starts healing. This usually takes up to 8 to 12 weeks.

COSMETIC DENTISTRY

If you are unhappy with your smile or just want to correct imperfections in the appearance of your teeth, you can have it fixed. The upper teeth show, usually, only when smiling, while the lower teeth remain hidden. This is reversed when talking, with the upper teeth remaining hidden while the lower teeth show. The color, alignment, spacing as well as regularity of the teeth are the characteristics that give the overall appearance. Any of these concerns can be dealt with to give a stunning look to the mouth.

CROWNS

A dental crown is a procedure often needed for fractured teeth, large amounts of decay or replacement of an old crown.  The crown is prepared initially with capturing an impression of your bite, where a temporary crown is placed, and generally within 7-10 days a permanent crown is cemented over the existing tooth.

BRIDGES

If you have a missing tooth (or teeth), we can fill that gap with an artificial tooth (or teeth).  A bridge is generally supported with crowns adjacent to the pontic (false tooth or teeth), and is secured in place with cement.

INVISALIGN

Invisalign treatment is the clear alternative to metal braces for kids, teens, and adults, which may be a more comfortable solution to straighten our teeth.

PARTIAL DENTURES

Partial Dentures are used when parts, or sections, of the mouth are missing teeth. A detachable Partial Denture (or Dental Bridge) is normally made up of substitute teeth, and a plastic base that fills the gap of missing teeth.
